'Attack on Titan' season 2 spoilers: Another death coming; Armin to step up his game

"Attack on Titan" season 2 will feature another death in the Survey Corps as they continue the fight against the killer Titans in the new season.

The second season of the anime, much like the first one, is expected to follow the blockbuster manga. Those who follow Hajime Isayama's work knows that a character death is in the offing.

The recent chapters of the manga have been hard-hitting and game-changing. Levi and the troop's mission to save their home from Titans have taken more lives as the story progressed.

In "Attack on Titan" season 2, it will be Captain Erwin Smith who bites the dust as a result of tackling the Beast Titan. He is injured at the same time as Armin is wounded by tackling the Colossus Titan.

Only one of them could be saved with the serum. Choosing who will be injected by it to be revived has the remaining Survey Corps members divided.

Eren pleaded that Armin is saved while Levi deemed that Erwin should be the one who gets to live as he has what it takes to help save humanity.

After tears and heated discussions, Levi had no choice but to give in and save Armin with Erwin meeting his demise for good. If "Attack on Titan" season 2 will cover this, the new season will definitely be an emotional ride.

Armin being saved meant that he has a bigger responsibility to the team since it was Erwin who had to go to give him a second chance at life.
