'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' DLC patch for PS4 released

The game developer of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," Treyarch, has recently released a DLC patch for the PS4 version of the game, including a few changes and some balance updates.

According to Gamespot, the DLC patch comes right after the release of the "Descent" DLC pack, which added a new map with zombies, killer robots, and dragons. Now the newly released patch is said to fix some balance problems that gamers had with some weapons and specialists. Bug fixes are also included, and some boundaries have been placed around maps to prevent any unwanted problems with the game.

Updates have also been made to Zombie mode's Gorod Krovi map. Before, players encountered a bug whenever they rode the map's dragon; doing so would give them unlimited use of the Death Machine power-up. In order to keep balance within the game, the developers opted to fix it (though some may have considered it to be a pretty nifty easter egg).

There are also changes applied to the game's CODCaster system, and there are also several UI improvements, including additional keyboard support.

Although the "Descent" DLC is currently available for Playstation 4 only, Xbox One and PC users can expect it to be available for their consoles this coming August.

The next game in the "Call of Duty" series is subtitled "Infinite Warfare," and some COD fans are reportedly not too happy with the direction that the game franchise seems to be going. Some have been waiting for a remastered WWII setting that the original COD games used to have.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Nov. 4, and the Legacy Edition is said to include a remastered version of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare."
