A Christian college in Washington state listed abortion provider Planned Parenthood as a "community partner." Abortion is also promoted in some of the courses offered by the school.

Whitworth University also allows its students to take accredited internships at Planned Parenthood, according to James Silberman, a senior at the liberal arts college located in Spokane.

In his editorial, Silberman narrated that the course known as "Intro to Women's and Gender Studies" portrays the abortion organization in a positive light and it uses text books that depict pro-life individuals as "violent misogynists."

The senior student also noted that the walls around the campus display flyer cards that refer pregnant women to Planned Parenthood. He added that the school also allowed the abortion organization to set up a booth at the school volunteer fair.

Silberman urged the school administrators to remove Planned Parenthood from the list of its community partners as well as the flyers on the campus walls. He also said that the textbooks being used in the classrooms should be checked for accuracy with regards to claims about abortion.

He acknowledged that the problem is not limited to Whitworth and urged students across the U.S. to check whether their school is supporting the abortion industry.

"If they are, find out to what extent and bring it into the light. Submit articles to campus publications or start a Students for Life club at your school," Silberman urged.

Several students have come out in defense of the school's partnership with the abortion organization.

"It is not a man's place to decide what a woman does with her body. It is a woman's basic right to make the heart-wrenching choice to have an abortion," a student named Carmen Hirota wrote.

"The argument that James makes is perpetuating the oppressive stance in opposition to a woman's right to choose by politicians who think they have a right to make women's most personal, sensitive health care decisions for them," she continued.

Another Christian school was recently discovered to have ties with Planned Parenthood. In August, it was reported that Texas Christian University in Forth Worth, Texas, offered an internship program with the abortion organization for school credit.
