Doing their best to become champions again, the Cleveland Cavaliers are adding names to their roster and it seems they are eyeing a big-named point guard.

According to sources, the Cavaliers may be targeting Eric Bledsoe of the Phoenix Suns as a possible back-up to Kyrie Irving in the coming season.

The Cavaliers are still one of the most complete teams in the league, but they are lacking in the point guard position as Matthew Dellavedova moved to the Milwaukee Bucks and Mo Williams recently retired.

Despite having superstar Irving as the starting guard, it is necessary for the team to have a back-up and Bledsoe may be their man.

According to ESPN's Neil Johnson, it may take more than just a straight trade from the Suns to the Cavaliers for Bledsoe's move to happen.

"For instance, they could try to move Bledsoe -- who has a connection with LeBron -- to Cleveland, where he would boost the Cavs given their lack of depth and talent at guard. Maybe a third team can make this a reality," he said.

If the Cavaliers pull off this trade, it would immediately give them the depth and the strength they need to defend their crown. While Dellavedova and Williams were capable in the position, Bledsoe brings a whole new dimension to the team.

Nicknamed "Mini-LeBron" for his strength and physique, Bledsoe can definitely score, shown by his 2015-16 averages as he netted 20.4 points despite only playing 31 games. He also does a lot on the court as he averaged 4.0 rebounds and 6.1 assists last year while shooting 45 percent from the field and 37 from beyond the arc.

The Cavaliers need a lot of help to try and defend their throne as other teams have stepped up their game to become stronger. However, adding Bledsoe to the equation tips the scale in their favor and can possibly be the winning formula for the coming campaign.
