"Destiny 2" is expected to be released next year, since developer Bungie is busy with the final downloadable content (DLC) "Rise of Iron" for the first game is made available.

According to reports, developer Bungie will release the sequel in September next year as this was the same month the original was released back in 2014.

It was previously reported that "Destiny 2" is getting a reboot because of the changes in the Bungie staff. "The Taken King" director Luke Smith was appointed to be the head of the project following this change.

It is unclear what this means for the game, but it appears that the schedule of the release won't be affected. However, with Bungie yet to clarify the matter, gamers will simply have to wait for now.

In other related news about "Destiny 2," it is expected that the game won't be released in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 considering that the latest updates for "Destiny" are exclusive to the current-generation consoles.

It is highly likely that "Destiny 2" will also be available the same way, although users can imagine using it in the upcoming consoles from Microsoft and Sony namely the Xbox Project Scorpio and PlayStation Neo.

Meanwhile, Twinfinite hopes that "Destiny 2" will flesh out the character of Xur, who is also known to players in the current game as the seller of exotic items.

The site believes that there's more to the character, and a story to tell about him and "Destiny 2" might be a great place to share that.

Twinfinite points out that Xur is the only vendor in the "Destiny" world who always gets sidelined as the others at least get to be featured inside missions.

"Destiny 2" could change that and bring Xur front and center in some aspect in the sequel. The hooded figure's enigmatic aura should make for an amazing tale that can make the game more interesting.
