It appears that fans will not be treated with major announcements about "Destiny 2" anytime soon as Bungie is looking to add more content to the original.

The latest weekly update from the Bungie Live Team subtly mentions "Destiny 2," but the heart of it is that they are hard at work on something new and exciting that will "give you new reasons to fight."

"All the while, we've kept our ears pressed to the Internet. We're always listening. We know that a new year brings new questions ... What's the next stop on our journey? When do we learn about the future?" they mused.

"For starters, you haven't heard the last from the Live Team at Bungie... Before renewed orders from the Vanguard arrive, there will be a batch of fixes for some issues you've been talking about," they went on to say.

There will be tons of events for the current game including a Clash game set to begin tomorrow and Bungie Bounties in which players go after the Live Team members via Matchmaking.

As for "Destiny 2," no new concrete information from Bungie has been revealed despite the sequel's release date set to later this year. However, there are leaks that continue to hit the web.

A Reddit user who claims to know someone who works at Bungie revealed recently that "Destiny 2" will not be a "full wipe," but only a clean slate. As fans know, initial reports suggested that the game will be completely rebooted with new characters and locations.

"Apparently our 'Guardian' will still retain their memories, accomplishments, etc. up to this point, but we will NOT have any carry over gear/weapons/items," the tipster claims.

Forbes says that while the information is to be taken with a pinch of salt, this concept for "Destiny 2" is actually a good idea that will serve fans who want to start anew in the game, but at the same time be able to honor what they accomplished in the first game.

The same tipster claims that "Destiny 2" will be delayed to early 2018. It was slated to release fall of this year, but considering how Bungie pushed the release of the original, as Forbes pointed out, the sequel might not arrive this year.
