'Dragon Ball Super' episode 48 spoilers news update: Future Trunks wakes up to the present; Goku, Vegeta to help defeat Black Goku

The Future Trunks saga continues in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 48 as the warrior from the dark alternate universe finds himself in the past.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 48 is titled "Hope Again! Trunks Wakes Up in the Present!" Unconscious and weak, Future Trunks is tended by the crew.

With Future Trunks in such awful state, it would appear that he barely escaped Black Goku during their confrontation that started by the end of the previous "Dragon Ball Super" episode.

Before enduring a beating as evidenced in the "Dragon Ball Super" episode 48 trailer, Future Trunks had to watch Future Bulma and Mai die and it's all because of Black Goku.

The world Future Trunks left is now lifeless and is almost in unfixable shape. However, Goku declares in the said "Dragon Ball Super" episode 48 promo that he and Vegeta will fight Black Goku to change the course of the future and stop the menace from killing more worlds and lives.

After watching what Black Goku can do, some will think that no matter how strong the saiyans are, ending Black Goku's reign is easier said than done. They are dealing with a monster with so much power and has no problem using them on anyone.

"You can feel in your bones just how evil Black is... it's incredible. From your very first look at him, he's just bad to the bone," Takeshi Kusao, the voice actor for Future Trunks in "Dragon Ball Super," said via DesignnTrend.

"I'll only say one thing about the end of the new chapter's first episode, but this should say it all: it's enough to make you go 'there's no way they can win,'" he continued.

Beating Black Goku will definitely be done in one go. The villain will definitely have viewers worried about the fate of the heroes in "Dragon Ball Super," but fans are excited to see it how it all plays out.

Another aspect of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 48 to look out for is present Trunks utter shock to see a grown-up version of himself.
