Eminem new album release date may be delayed until 2017
Fans may have to accept that the eminent rapper, Eminem, is not making his big comeback this year. Reports have it that the rapper is at a loss for song inspiration and is currently finding it difficult to write new material. His last album release was three years back, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," which released in 2013.
He has also produced some hits in collaboration with other artists including Rihanna, for "Monster." He has been actively producing songs under his brand, Shady Records, in "Love Story" as well as the "Southpaw" soundtrack in Jake Gyllenhaal's boxing movie.
Rumor has it that the American rapper's attention right now is divided what with his ex-wife Kim Mathers' recent suicide attempt. Eminem (born Marshall Mathers III) shares a daughter with Kim, Hailie, who is now grown at age 20.
Some reports have it that his next album remains unfinished, not because of Mathers' condition — although he has been giving Kim the support she needs as well as his daughter — but because he is unwilling to put out another album without any meaningful material to work on.
He is also said to be busy with some other things reportedly in line with preventing his music from being pirated. Eminem himself has expressed that his album may come out in 2017 yet.
Whatever the rapper-songwriter's issues are, it is an accepted adage that genius takes some time to work on. And Eminem's work has been significantly indicative of him being a leader in his genre. Therefore, it may be likely that his fans are in for some more waiting and letting the genius work its magic once more.
Besides being a rapper, songwriter, and record producer, Eminem is also an actor, and hails from Detroit, Michigan. He has had ten number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and is one of the world's biggest-selling artists, having sold more than 172 million albums.
He has received several awards and nominations as well as citations. In 2008, Vibe Magazine named him Best Rapper Alive. In 2013, he was awarded the Global Icon at MTV Europe's Music Awards.
