'Fairy Tail' chapter 510 spoilers, plot news: Natsu to meet and battle against nephew; will Erza and Irene's connection finally be exposed?

The Dragneel family tree continues to expand as more battlefield revelations unfold. And since Erza and Irene's mysterious connection has taken a backseat in this week's chapter of the Japanese manga "Fairy Tail," will their back story finally be exposed in the next?

"Fairy Tail" is a popular manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima and has been serialized on the "Weekly Shounen Jump" magazine since 2006. | Kodansha Comics official website

It turns out that not everyone on the battlefield is aware of Natsu's relation to the Alvarez Empire's big boss, Zeref. How will this revelation impact their dealings with Fairy Tail guild's fire mage? And since Rahkeid, Zeref's son, has expressed his interest to go up against his uncle, Natsu, could this have been foreshadowing an upcoming battle between the blood relatives?

Chapter 509 titled "Kagura vs Rahkeid" also exposed another revelation that could potentially resonate in later chapters. Apparently, Rahkeid is the child of Zeref and Mavis. As to how this happened is not yet clear and could ultimately be revealed when mother and child finally face each other. There are speculations that a fight between Mavis and her son could ensue as Rahkeid's origins are further explored.

As it turns out, the only thing that could subdue Rahkeid's powers is his mother's love. Will Mavis be able to turn her son to their side, given his deep devotion to his father?

One theme that chapter 509 explored through the musings of Spriggan 12 member August, is that light does not necessarily equate to good and dark does not always refer to evil. Could this again be referring to an upcoming match-up between Rahkeid, who wields light magic, and the dark-based Etherious Natsu Dragneel (E.N.D.)?

Meanwhile, fans are also expecting the continuation of Erza and Irene's fight and the eventual revelation of their mysterious connection. There have been speculations about the two of them possibly having come from the same ancestry, given their scarlet hair.

One of these two main narratives will be continued when the next chapter of "Fairy Tail" comes out on issue #50 of the "Weekly Shounen Jump" magazine, which will go on sale on Monday, Nov. 14.
