Christina and Tarek El Moussa still want to continue filming their HGTV show "Flip or Flop" despite their highly publicized divorce.

The reality stars may be ready to leave each other, but they don't want to end their partnership on the home remodeling series. An insider close to the estranged couple told People magazine that the El Moussa duo is now interested in continuing their stint on the show together, as opposed to earlier expectations that they'd back away from the program after their contracts end.

According to TMZ, the decision of whether to keep "Flip or Flop" on air lies in the hands of HGTV. The network previously announced that they'll keep a close eye on ratings before deciding on the program's future or the possibility of developing a spinoff. Although the execs still has yet to green light a renewal, the network released a statement in response to rumors that the show would end after season 8.

"We admire and appreciate Tarek and Christina's great work on 'Flip or Flop,'" the HTGV rep said. "When it comes to matters related to their own family, we respect their privacy and honor any decision that works best for them and their children. HGTV is currently airing episodes of 'Flip or Flop' and the series will continue production as scheduled," the representative went on to say.

Aside from their bitter split, Tarek and Christina are currently dealing with another issue at home. The HGTV personalities are in the middle of a health scare with their daughter Taylor, who has been struggling for years because of stomach issues. Christina recently took to social media and asked fans for suggestions on food her daughter can consume after being diagnosed with many food allergies.

The duo announced their divorce in December 2016 after seven years of marriage. The have two children: a six-year-old daughter named Taylor and a 16-month-old son named Brayden.
