Jason Voohees' morphing ability can now be seen in the latest trailer for the upcoming "Friday the 13th: The Game."

Based on the latest gameplay trailer, Jason will continue his murderous streak using his trusted ax while looking calm and composed. This will help him launch a surprise attack on his innocent victims all throughout the game.

Since Jason has no ability to run to chase his next kill, the mask-wearing murderer can use his morphing ability to catch up with his unwilling victims. This will make life easier for the legendary villain.

The trailer also revealed that Jason will use a number of razor-sharp weapons to kill his victims. It includes the machete seen on the character's hip, the long sharp spear that he holds in his hands, as well as the knife that he can easily throw away if the subject can be seen in a distant location.

According to the gameplay description on the game's official website, "Friday the 13th: The Game" is a third-person, horror survival game that requires players to assume the role of a teen counselor from the Crystal Lake camp.

But for the first time in the entire "Friday the 13th" video game franchise, players can also opt to control Jason throughout the game.

"For the first time ever, you will have the opportunity to play as Jason Voorhees, the most famous killer in horror. Stalk your prey and ambush them whenever you see fit. Friday the 13th: The Game will include a variety of kills, new and familiar. You'll even get to unlock various Jason incarnations from the movies as well as two entirely new designs never before seen," the game description reads.

Gun Media is expected to launch the upcoming "Friday the 13th: The Game" for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC during the first quarter of 2017.
