Gigabyte Aero 14 release date and specs update: Gaming laptop to come out with superior specs while maintaining portability

The upcoming Gigabyte Aero 14 gaming laptop has been a subject of numerous reports and speculations amongst the gaming fans for quite some time now. The new device has just recently been revealed by the company during the Computex 2016 on Monday.

According to reports, the device carries impressive specs and features that would help the laptop do well in the market once it hits the shelves.

Not only does it have great power for a laptop but the device also has a sleek design. Many fans like its slim and thin appearance.

The Gigabyte Aero 14 carries a 14-inch high-resolution IPS 2560 x 1440 display system. It runs on the always reliable Skylake core i7-6700HQ processor from Intel. It has the latest NVIDIA GPU technology and a USB Type-C port. What's interesting about the device is it can hold up to 32 GB of RAM.

People may think that the powerful specs of the device may hugely affect the life of the battery; however, the Gigabyte Aero 14 boasts a 94.24 Wh battery for optimal usage.

According to Gigabyte, their goal is to make a powerful gaming device, while making sure it has the best portability.

"Putting an emphasis on maximizing mobility and performance, it claims the title of most portable 14" high-performance laptop with a powerful NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970M while being only 19.9mm thin," the company said during a press release.

"With the top-level performance and extended battery life in a slim-profile of an Ultrabook, Aero 14 is the mobile solution for both professionals and gamers alike."

Meanwhile, the laptop also has a built-in HD camera, stereo speakers, SD card reader and a headset jack. Gamers must also take note that the Gigabyte Aero 14 does not have an Ethernet port; however, users can certainly use a USB-to-LAN adapter.

For the meantime, the company has yet to provide release date and pricing details of the device. The laptop is currently being displayed at Computex.
