New leaked information about the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 has emerged online revealing its specs and features. The details said to come from an anonymous source from Android Police, who did not waste any time to share it online in their latest report.

According to the alleged source, the upcoming Nexus device will be smaller than what people are expecting. It will feature a 5.0-inch screen with a 1080p Full HD display. The rumored screen size may disappoint many people as they expect Google to release a much bigger device compared to its previous smartphone releases.

It is no longer a secret that the Taiwanese consumer electronics company, HTC, will help manufacture the next Google Nexus device. According to the report, the company will produce not one but two smartphones for Google this year. Although both Google and HTC have yet to provide significant details with regard to the devices' release date, tech observers suggested that one of the upcoming smartphones will be called as HTC Sailfish. The other device is said to be called as HTC Marlin. According to reports, the Sailfish is the smaller version of HTC Marlin.

Both devices will come out with impressive specs sand features under the hood, which will be headed by a quad-core 64-bit processor running at 2.0 GHz. Rumor has it that the device will also run with 4 GB of RAM; however, there are reports suggesting that either one of the devices may carry 6 GB RAM.

Interestingly so, there are speculations that the device may carry a 2,770 mAh battery, which is bit modest by today's standard. Nonetheless, fans are hoping that the next Google Nexus iteration will not come out as a disappointment for the fans who have been waiting for it to be released.

Other features of the Nexus 2016 include a USB Type C port, a fingerprint scanner, headphone jack, speakers and a Bluetooth 4.2.
