Google Nexus 7 2016 release date, specs update: Series of Nexus devices to come out in 2016?

There have been a lot of rumors regarding the development and release of Google's Nexus 7 2016. Despite Google's failure to make it official at the recently concluded I/O developers' conference, many fans are still expecting the device to come out later this year. Many tech observers believe that the American internet search giant is just waiting for their highly anticipated Android N operating system before announcing the arrival of Nexus 7 2016.

According to numerous reports, Google will launch several Nexus devices before the year ends. Rumor has it that Google tapped the Taiwanese multinational manufacturer of smartphones and tablets, HTC to help them. Apparently, the two companies have agreed to manufacture a series of Nexus products, which they plan to release this year to compete with Apple's and Samsung's upcoming releases. Previous report suggested that two Android N devices are already in development called Sailfish or S1 and Marlin or M1. These products are said to be successors of last year's releases, Nexus 6P and 5X.

Another report has emerged saying that Google is also planning to release another Nexus 7 tablet, which they plan to manufacture together with the Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company, Huawei. According to some tech fanatics, the device will carry a QHD display with 2560 x 1800 screen resolution. It is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chip from Qualcomm, along with 4 GB of RAM.

There are also speculations suggesting that the new Google 7-inch tablet may run on a less powerful processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. Some people are also saying that it may get the NVIDIA Tegra X1 Super Chip or the Kirin 950.

Nonetheless, these reports have yet to be confirmed by Google. Fans may have to wait for further updates before making any assumptions regarding the development and the release date of these Nexus devices.
