It is not surprising that Google seeks help from different tech manufacturers to make several devices for them. The company has worked together with Huawei, Samsung, HTC, Motorola and Asus in the past. According to Gotta Be Mobile, the American search engine has already tapped HTC to help them create the new Nexus 7 iteration.

Although Google has yet to confirm the development of the device as well as its release details, several tech publications online have already reported that Google Nexus 7 2016 will be available this year with a force touch feature. This type of technology was originally developed by the Cupertino tech giant, Apple.

If rumors prove to be true, this will certainly put the next Nexus 7 iteration ahead of the competition once it comes out in the market.

Meanwhile, several rumors have already reached many tech websites regarding the device's specs and features. According to the reports, Google Nexus 7 2016 will carry impressive specifications and fans are hoping that it will live up to its expectations once it hits the shelves.

There are speculations suggesting that it will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset from Qualcomm. The device is said to come out in two variants – the 7-inch screen model and the other one has a 5-inch display. Both will carry the same chipset and the NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor. There are also reports saying that both variants will have 4 GB of RAM and 3000mAh battery.

What's interesting about this device is the 2 TB external storage capacity via microSD. Nonetheless, these rumors and speculations have yet to be confirmed by the company.
