Google Nexus 7 2016 release date, specs news update: New smartphone with Force Touch to launch next month?
The launching of Google Nexus 7 2016 is reported to happen next month during Google's I/O Developers Conference. While many tech fans have been waiting for some time for the company to release its brand new gadget offering, they will not be disappointed as the Nexus 7 is rumored to sport a variety of new features. One of the grand highlights of the device is said to be the force touch technology.
According to the Bitbag, Google has always been releasing their new devices and software tools during the I/O Developers Conference every year, that is why next month is a good bet for the company to unveil the Nexus 7 2016.
The force touch system that is rumored to be adapted by the new Nexus device was first developed by Apple, Inc. This technology gives the smartphone or tablet a capability to sense the level of force exerted on the touchpad or touch screen. A stronger force applied to the same area of the touchpad will result to a different command as compared with a lighter touch force. This way, there will be more touch command options for the users.
The Bitbag also mentioned that the Google Nexus 7 2016 is reportedly including a 5.1-inch or 7-inch screen display. The device will be powered by both Snapdragon 820 SoC and NVIDIA's Tegra X1 processor. For better results, 4 GB of RAM will be used along with the Android N operating system. For the first time in Nexus smartphones, the upcoming device is expected to sport a 2 TB external memory storage via microSD slot. The camera feature is also upgraded with 12 MP main camera at the back and 5 MP front camera. The battery life is also extended with 3,000 mAH capacity.
Google will reportedly work hand-in-hand with Taiwanese manufacturer HTC to make the next Nexus device. HTC teamed up with Google before and was in charged in making HTC Nexus 9 tablet.
However, the Nexus 7 2016 release expected in the I/O conference may not push through as there are other reports that the upcoming device will be launched at a later date in October.
