Hit FOX series "Gotham" season 2 came to an end with a handful of Hugo Strange's creatures creeping out to terrorize Gotham City, and viewers are left wondering who could those new villains be.

To provide a short recap, the last minutes of the season 2 finale showed Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) as she drove a bus full of Dr. Hugo Strange's (BD Wong) experiment subjects into the city. Butch (Drew Powell) and Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) assumed that it was Strange who was driving the bus, so they shot the vehicle in their hopes to take him down. However, the two were shocked after Fish got off the bus, as she ran to go away from Strange for good. A homeless person opened the doors to free the creatures, and all hell will definitely break loose.

A familiar laugh was heard, which can be attributed to Jerome Valeska (Cameron Monaghan) who is speculated to be the new Joker. He appeared to be dead last season, but there is a huge possibility that he will be back to do more trouble. A monster in the promotional poster from Fox also looks like Tom Hardy's version of Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises," but there might be issues with the character's rights if he will indeed be added to the show, according to Cinemablend.

As for the other villains, the Mad Hatter might be on board along with other rogues like Solomon Grundy and the Tweedle brothers. Since the presence of the Court of Owls will continue to expand further, Talon might show up as well.

Who could be the new villains who will cause more chaos in the city? Find out the answer once "Gotham" returns to the small screen for its third season this Fall on FOX.
