"Gotham" executive producer John Stephens has revealed the new main villains making their way to the third season of the Fox crime series.

The season 2 finale of the DC Comics-based "Gotham" saw Hugo Strange's (BD Wong) monsters on the loose, Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) escaping the asylum, and Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) splitting town to find Lee (Morena Baccarin), his fiancee.

But the biggest mystery in the season 2 ender was the introduction of a Bruce Wayne double. Will this other Wayne be the main villain in "Gotham" season 3?

Speaking to Comic Book Resources about what fans can expect from the upcoming season of the Fox series, Stephens dropped some major details about the new villains who will soon be populating Gotham.

"We'll be seeing Mad Hatter in Season 3," the "Gotham" boss said. "We'll be seeing the Tweedle Brothers, too, if we're going to bring the Hatter in. In line with the Court of Owls, we'll be seeing Talon. And, we should be seeing Solomon Grundy."

Talon, a highly-skilled assassin tasked with killing Batman, is a character off the 2011 "Court of Owls" comic book storyline. According to Stephens, the Court of Owls will play a big role in the upcoming season.

The Tweedle Brothers, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, are from the world of "Alice in Wonderland" and are known allies of the Mad Hatter and the Joker. While the criminal twins don't possess superpowers, they do have heightened strength. In the comics, they led their own gang of thugs called the "Wonderland Gang."

Solomon Grundy, the zombified villain who made his DC Comics debut way back in 1944, is thought to have already appeared in an episode of "Gotham" as a prisoner at Indian Hill. In the comics, Grundy is a reanimated corpse who is thought to be immortal and indestructible.

Meanwhile, Stephens also hinted at the return of Fish Mooney in the third season of "Gotham."

In an interview with Zap2It, he said that they are trying to bring Pinkett Smith back to the Fox series.

"We certainly hope to see her at the beginning of next year and we're building stories around the expectation that you'll be seeing her from the beginning of Season 3," he said.

The third season of "Gotham" is expected to air in the fall on Fox.
