Executive producers of the Batman prequel drama, "Gotham," have confirmed that the third season will feature a classic Batman villain, Solomon Grundy. They also tease the appearance of Killer Croc and Harley Quinn, but they might possibly appear in the fourth season.

Grundy's mythology in the show will reportedly have big connections with Hugo Strange's (BD Wong) Indian Hill experiments as well as the mysterious Court of Owls. To the fans who may not be familiar with Solomon Grundy, he is a superpowered zombie who is based on the 19th-century nursery rhyme:

"Solomon Grundy,
Born on a Monday,
Christened on Tuesday,
Married on Wednesday,
Took ill on Thursday,
Grew worse on Friday,
Died on Saturday,
Buried on Sunday,
That was the end,
Of Solomon Grundy."

Grundy is large and has the strength that can rival that of Superman. He was originally a villain created for the Green Lantern back in the 40s, but since then, he has become a more popular adversary for Batman.

Executive producers Ken Woodruff and John Stephens also share their ideas of having Killer Croc and Harley Quinn on the show. They admitted that it would be quite difficult since both characters have already appeared in the movie "Suicide Squad" earlier this month. However, there is a possibility that fans will get to view a "proto-version" of Croc and a "forerunner" for Harley Quinn. All this, however, is strongly suggested to come in the fourth season — if there will be a fourth season.

The showrunners also talk about the growing "cult of the Joker" which continues to expand despite the death of the show's proto-Joker, Jerome (Cameron Monaghan). "It's about developing the myth of The Joker, just like we're developing the myth of Batman ... There are underground movements where they talk about Jerome," says Stephens.

The third season for "Gotham" returns on Sept 19, 2016.
