'House of Cards' season 5 spoilers, plot news: Frank Underwood's most loyal ally to turn his back against him?

Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) will be in serious trouble in "House of Cards" season 5, if the latest plot rumors are to be believed.

According to reports, Underwood will not only lose his presidency in the upcoming season, he will also lose his life and all this will be the doing of all the people he thought he can count on.

There are reports that Underwood's most trusted ally Doug (Michael Kelly) and Leann (Neve Campbell) will strive for power in "House of Cards" season 5.

It is said that a romance will develop between the two (it was already foreshadowed in season 4), and Doug's love for Leann might be the only thing that will overpower the strength of his loyalty to Underwood.

Other than Doug turning his back against Underwood, it is also rumored that his own wife Claire (Robin Wright) will show her thirst for power in "House of Cards" season 5. She has already shown she is capable of doing such in the show's fourth season.

Claire can be as coldblooded as Underwood and can also be as ravenous for power as her partner in crime. Much like her husband, she will do whatever it takes just to get what she wants.
