Chinese smartphone manufacturers have been battling it out in the entry-level market for quite some time now. The competition is a win-win for consumers as they get the most affordable devices with good specs and features. One of the companies that are known to provide amazing smartphones at a low cost is the Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company, Huawei.

The company has recently revealed its new smartphone called Huawei Honor 5A. It is expected to arrive on June 17 with a promise to dominate its class. According to reports, it will compete with the recent Meizu smartphone that was released on Monday. Both devices are said to have the same price at $106 and carry almost the same specs and features.

According to Huawei, its goal is to create a smartphone with great specs and features to lure the younger generation with its affordable pricing. The CEO of the company Ren Zhengfei said that the company's plan is to make sure it gives people the opportunity to experience great user experience without spending that much.

The device will arrive with a 5.5-inch 720p display with 1000:1 contrast ration. The screen of the device is said to be made of aluminum silicon tempered glass. According to reports, the display technology of the handset has an auto pixel adjust.

Although the device doesn't have the best specifications under the hood, it is certainly good enough for consumers who do not like to spend hundreds of dollars for a smartphone. The handset will run on an octa-core Kirin 620 SoC, which is said to clock at 1.2 GHz. However, the smartphone also has different variants that carry the octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor from Qualcomm. The chipset is paired with 2 GB of RAM and the device also has 16 GB internal storage capacity. For users who want to get more storage options, they need not worry since the device has microSD card support for expanded memory.
