iPad Pro 2 2016 release date, news, update, rumors: New iPad Pro to launch this Fall in spite of no-show at WWDC 2016

Apple's iPad Pro | Apple

Many Apple followers were tuned in to the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) of the company last week to check whether the newest iteration of iPad Pro would be unveiled. Unfortunately, the tech giant made no mention about their popular flagship tablet. However, in spite of Apple not talking about an iPad Pro 2 at WWDC 2016, the rumors are still rife that the anticipated release of the new tablets will happen in September. As the iOS 10 became the center of last week's big event, many expect that iPad Pro 2 will be among the first devices to sport the latest operating system.

Mac World reported that the arrival of the next iteration of iPad Pro is still possible this year, and that may happen sometime this Fall. To be exact, the unboxing of iPad Pro 2 is expected in September. If the rumors are correct, the iPad Pro 2 will be released alongside Apple's other big devices this year. The launching of the new iPhone 7 smartphone is also expected to happen in September.

However, there are some issues regarding the possible release of the new iPad Pro units this year. It can be recalled that Apple has just released the smaller 9.7 inch iPad Pro in March. Those who have already purchased for the recent iPad Pro may feel that their latest device is already irrelevant following the release of iPad Pro 2 in September.

As Apple has already introduced iOS 10 at WWDC, it can be expected that the new iPad Pro will be sporting the same iOS setting. By September, Apple may have already released the full version of iOS 10 as the public beta will be released sometime in July. Techno Buffalo also noted that the iOS 10 will be featuring a three-pane app viewing for iPad Pro, and it is possible that the same setup will be seen in the next iPad Pro design.

There is also a possibility that the new iPad Pro will not be released this year. Instead, the iPad Pro 2 will be released in March 2017. If ever this happens, it will follow the release date of the current iPad Pro model that was also launched in March of this year.
