iPad Pro 2 release date, specs rumors: May come this year or next March

Apple advocates have been waiting for the announcement of the iPad Pro 2 for a while, and some have been speculating that the announcement may come this September (along with the new iPhone 7) or March next year.

Mirror UK compares these speculations with the release of the iPad Pro last September 2015. The iPad Pro was the largest iPad to date, measuring about 12.9 inches. It came with a precision stylus and an iSight camera. Then March of 2016, Apple released the 9.7-inch version of the iPad Pro, and it was met with better reviews than its predecessor. The newer device was thinner than the iPhone 6s, and it featured True Tone display.

Fans are expecting somewhat of the same pattern with the rumored iPad Pro 2. The most likely guess is that the device will be revealed this coming September along with the new iPhone 7. However, if that doesn't happen, fans speculate that the iPad Pro 2 will be announced March of 2017.

Some also think that instead of the iPad Pro 2, Apple will instead release the next tablet in their iPad Air series, the iPad Air 3. A lot of rumors have also been going around about the release of the iPad Air 3, but some speculate that Apple will simply scrap the Air series to put more focus on the iPad Pro lineup.

The iPad Pro 2 is rumored to have a 64 GB storage capacity (which is larger than its predecessor) and 3 GB of RAM. Also, the device is said to sport a Sapphire crystal lens cover, very much like the 9.7-inch version of the iPad Pro. The device is also said to run on an iOS 10 operating system.

No official announcements have been made as of now, but Apple fans expect the next iPad Pro to be announced this coming September.
