Netflix's popular heroine "Jessica Jones" captured everyone's attention when it first aired back in 2015, and now fans are anticipating the show's return for season 2. Being an alcoholic, PTSD-plagued private investigator with inhuman physical strength, Jessica is clearly not the typical superheroine seen in the media nowadays. However, despite her hard-hitting and reckless persona, there are some things she cannot say on-screen.

"No F-bombs!" executive producer and creator  Melissa Rosenberg said (via Cinema Blend). "And if anyone was going to say 'f---,' it would be Jessica Jones. Sometimes I would be like, 'Please just let me put one!' Never. But what's funny is that people said, 'Wait—she didn't say f---? I could have sworn she did!'"

Rosenberg further explained that lead star Krysten Ritter is such a good actress that she can deliver any line effortlessly with the emotion needed for a scene. "Her look says it! She can be saying 'potato. The other thing is there's sex to some degree, but there's not really nudity," the EP added.

Despite having a storyline that focuses on a superhero, "Jessica Jones" is considered by most critics and viewers as one of the most forward-thinking feminist shows. According to Ritter, she did not expect the positive reviews when the first season aired. "The series has started so many feminist conversations that I never anticipated," the 34-year-old told Deadline. "People come up to me and find meaning in things that I didn't realize I was doing. I think people enjoy seeing a woman who doesn't look a certain way, who is strong, ass-kicking, who isn't rolling over and dying. She shows real strength."

She also mentioned how emotional she feels when a fan tells her how her character greatly inspires viewers. "I'm moved to tears when people tell me that the show has helped them: 'Thank you for doing it with integrity. I have PTSD. That's what it feels like for me.' So many people feel represented by Jessica and that's refreshing and amazing," said Ritter.

All the episodes of "Jessica Jones" season 1 can be streamed via Netflix, while the network has yet to announce a premiere date for season 2.
