Many video game fans around the world have been waiting for Square Enix's new installment to the popular fantasy adventure game "Kingdom Hearts." Dubbed as "Kingdom Hearts 3" with an unconfirmed complete title, the latest rumors are pointing to a possible delay in the production due to a few issues encountered by the creative team. "Kingdom Hearts" fans who are expecting a 2016 release date for the new video game may lower down their expectations as early as now, as a known voice actor playing a lead character in "Kingdom Hearts" confirmed that he has not started yet the recording for the game.

Voice actor Quinton Flynn, the person behind the lead character Axel in "Kingdom Hearts," took on Twitter to chime in with the video game fans' discussions in the social media regarding the development of Square Enix's new game offering. Flynn has only very limited information to share with the fans and he even stated that he has not recorded his part in the game just yet.

"Speaking of Axel, when is the new Kingdom Hearts going into production? Step it up. Quinton needs to pay his bills," Flynn said via his Twitter account. Flynn appeared to be quite upset with the apparent delay in the game's development, and several excited fans all over the internet share the same sentiments as him. It was first thought that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be available within the year, but the recent developments would say otherwise.

However, there may be a small glimmer of hope as Design & Trend reported that other voice actors like Jim Cummings have already been called by Square Enix to do recordings for the upcoming video game.

Square Enix's busy schedule this year was seen by many as the main reason why "Kingdom Hearts 3" could not proceed with production. Their other big game release expected this year is "Final Fantasy XV," which will be available in digital markets worldwide starting on Sept. 30.
