Lenovo Phab 2 Pro release date, specs news 2016: Tango-enabled smartphone expected to arrive in September

When rumors about Lenovo's plan to develop the world's first Tango-enabled Phab 2 Pro came out, many fans were excited but they did not realize that it could happen this year. However, as the rumors continue to stay rampant, reports have emerged saying that Lenovo is gearing up for the device's launching.

The Google Project Tango-Powered Smartphone is expected to come with a huge screen and packed with so many exciting features. The Phab 2 Pro, which is scheduled to for a September release, was originally announced at the company's Tech World event on June 9.

It will be interesting how consumers will receive the new smartphone once it hits the market as it promises to provide depth-sensing and wide-angle viewing to users.

According to a report by The Verge, the goal of the company is to showcase the technology of the device in different apps. The Phab 2 Pro will be measured at 179.83x88.5x10.7mm. It is definitely a huge smartphone weighing at 259 grams. It has a beautiful external design with its metal built body.

Other features of the handset include a 6.4-inch screen with a display resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. It will carry a 16 MP primary shooter, along with its 8 MP selfie snapper. It will have a 4G network capability and will be powered by a 4050-mAh battery. The device will run on a 1.8Ghz octa-core snapdragon 652 processor from Qualcomm, along with 4 GB of RAM for optimal usage. It also has some basic features such as WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. Just like most smartphone models from Lenovo, the Tango-enabled Phab 2 Pro will have a dual-SIM feature.

According to Fone Arena, the device will arrive with a 64 GB internal storage capacity, which is expandable using a microSD card. The Phab 2 Pro is expected to come with a $499 price tag; however, the Phab 2 Plus variant will be much cheaper at $299.
