Many tech enthusiasts believe that it is high time for Apple to release the next iteration of the MacBook Pro. Earlier this year, it was rumored that the 2016 version of the MacBook Pro will be released in the last quarter of the year. The good news is that the arrival of new Mac Pro units is now confirmed this October with an upcoming hardware event.

According to The Verge, Apple will be having another press event on Oct. 27 which will be focused on the refresh of the MacBook models. One of the new MacBook laptops to be unveiled on that date is the MacBook Pro 2016. 2012 was the last time that the MacBook Pro line was updated.

Recode also reported that the new look of the MacBook Pro is confirmed to make an appearance. This is seen by many as the right timing to unveil the new MacBook Pro as there was no update on the laptop's design within the last four years.

Apple has not yet revealed the details about the new MacBook Pro, but the rumors are rife that the laptop will sport a lot of changes compared to its predecessors. iTech Post reported that the MacBook Pro 2016 will have a dynamic OLED panel on top of the keyboard, The MacBook Pro 2016 will also have a Touch ID functionality for improved security measures.

It is also possible that the new Mac Pro will get rid of the USB Type A and Thunderbolt 2 ports to give way to the newer USB Type C and Thunderbolt 3 ports. Slash Gear reported that these changes might be quite inconvenient for some users not willing to see big changes in the MacBook, but the new USB ports will help to have faster data transfer.

Along with the MacBook Pro 2016, the Oct. 27 Apple Event will also showcase the new MacBook Air laptop, as well as the iMac 2016.
