MacBook Pro 2016 out this fall; Specs to feature Touch ID and OLED bar?

The MacBook Pro 2016 did not show up at the Worldwide Developers Conference, which Apple strictly intended for its software plans and releases. The laptop is now rumored for a release by year-end.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who holds a credible track record for Apple-related predictions, believes that the MacBook Pro 2016 should be released between September to December.

He claims that the new iteration of the MacBook Pro will be thinner and lighter with 13-inch and 15-inch displays. An all-new OLED touch bar placed right above the keyboard.

Leaked photos featuring supposed MacBook Pro 2016 reveal a space intended for the said touch bar. In addition, users can also expect a Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the new laptop.

The macOS Sierra, introduced during the WWDC, reveal technology that supports the aforementioned features. A "Do Not Disturb" button and LED wERE even discovered as features for the touch bar.

There are also references to various types of biometric security technology including a fingerprint sensor, as expected by Kuo. There are also four USB-C ports and a Thunderbolt 3 in the MacBook Pro 2016, according to the analyst.

More on the hardware side, Macrumors reports that the upcoming MacBook Pro laptop will house an improved Intel Skylake processor with the new 400-series Polaris graphics chips by AMD.

Production for the MacBook Pro 2016 appears to be underway. The rumored metal injection mold-made hinges for the laptop are reportedly being shipped already, at least for the 13-inch version.

Because of this, Macrumors believes that the smaller edition of the MacBook Pro 2016 will be the first to be released. When that will happen is still a mystery, but it is expected to take place before the year ends.

Apart from the MacBook Pro 2016, Apple is also believed to launch a MacBook Air 2016 laptop. The announcements for these devices are anticipated to take place as early as this month.
