The first "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" gameplay trailer has been released, featuring two new characters for the anticipated game.

According to reports, the reveal happened on ESPN 2 last Sunday during the Capcom Cup 2016 broadcast. The newest gameplay  trailer shows the four confirmed characters which include Ryu, Mega Man X, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel.

Further details about the game are still under wraps but during the PlayStation Experience event, one of the words used by the company to describe the game was "accessible." Although most people from the gaming industry consider it as a controversial term, Capcom and Marvel assure fans that it won't be an issue in the latest "Marvel vs. Capcom" installment.

Marvel Games executive producer Mike Jones and Capcom's Michael Evans recently caught up with PlayStation, and they discussed the game at length. According to the duo, the game can be accessible without sacrificing its depth.

"Once people get their hands on it, they'll understand it," Jones said. "But as we talk with people more and more about it, 'Hey, all the stuff that you are used to doing, that are individual features in previous iterations, are now at your disposal, freeform, as part of the partner system.' It's simplified and it's more elegant."

The Marvel Games exec added that players can now do more with the characters compared to what they've been able to do in the past games. With the Infinity Stones that augment a player's toolset, Jones is optimistic about the upcoming installment having "infinite gameplay possibilities."

The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017, but the companies have yet to announce an official release date. "We're going to release it when it's ready," Evans clarified, adding that Capcom is still taking its time to make sure that the story and gameplay come together as planned.
