For years, fans of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher have been waiting patiently for news about the condition of the seven-time world champion. Recently, Schumacher has once again made headlines because the racer is reportedly on the road to recovery.

When the German racer went skiing in December 2013, he got into an accident and suffered from a severe head injury. Schumacher was in a coma for six months. In September 2014, the racer's family moved him back to their home in Switzerland where the racer was to receive round-the-clock medical care. The family requested that the public respect their privacy, hence, little is known about the racer's condition.

Lately there have been rumors that Schumacher is now mobile and that he has been able to walk. The Telegraph reported that Schumacher's former Ferrari boss Luca Cordero di Montezemolo shared news of the racer's recent positive health condition.

However, Grand Pix found that news outlets have been quoting an outdated statement about Schumacher's health. The Spanish publication "El Mundo Deportivo" researched that Montezemolo's words "are not new, but date back to May 2016."

Montezemolo's spokesperson also told the foreign network Sky Italia that Schumacher's former boss had not made a statement about Schumacher's health for several months, and that the latest reports are "totally unfounded."

All updates about Schumacher's state are to be announced by Sabine Kehm, his manager and the Schumacher's family's official spokesperson. She added that updates which do not come from her should not be taken seriously.

Neither Schumacher's family nor their spokesperson Kehm has responded to the recent reports. According to Parent Herald, Kehm attended the recent "Champions for Charity" football tribute to Schumi, but she did not share any details about the racer because the family values their privacy.

Hopefully, the racer's condition will improve soon. Fans of Schumacher have turned to Twitter to express their support by using the hashtag #KeepFightingMichael.
