'Naruto Shippuden' Episode 464 spoilers: Anime returns to filler with Ashura and Indra's backstory

The backstory of "Naruto Shippuden" reigning villainess, Otsutsuki Kaguya has already been revealed in the previous episodes. Likewise, the individual stories of Kaguya's twin sons, Hagoromo and Hamura were already tackled, including the events that led to the siblings' great battle with their own mother. The previous Episode 463, however, went back to the present situation in the shinobi world as Naruto and Sasuke face the progenitor of all chakra, Kaguya.

The recent episode of "Naruto Shippuden" is titled "The Number 1 Unexpected Ninja," and it featured the beginning of the battle between Naruto and Sasuke's tag team against Kaguya. At first, Naruto managed to break the link created by Kaguya to drain the chakra out of him and Sasuke. In a shocking turn of events, Naruto used the Reverse Harem Sexy Jutsu to distract Kaguya. Fortunately, the distraction worked and he landed one solid punch to the villainess. As he and Sasuke tried to do the sealing technique to defeat Kaguya, the latter transported everyone to an ice dimension, which is a proof of Kaguya's unmatched prowess in genjutsu.

To make matters worse, Kaguya transported Sasuke to another dimension, which left Naruto and the rest of the surviving ninjas in the same ice world. Naruto was able to contend with Kaguya, although he barely escaped her attacks especially when Kaguya merged with nature itself to take down the nine tails jinchuuriki. Meanwhile, Obito offered a solution to bring back Sasuke to their present dimension in order to seal Kaguya once and for all.

The upcoming Episode 464 will see the continuation of the battle of Naruto and Kaguya. However, the next episode will also tell the story of Hagoromo's children, Indra and Ashura, which reincarnations are Sasuke and Naruto, respectively. The backstory is expected to tackle the siblings' rivalry that eventually led to huge conflicts over many generations of the shinobi world.
