After defeating the Ten-Tails and settling their differences, longtime rivals Naruto and Sasuke officially put an end to the Fourth Shinobi World War by working together to break the jutsu for the Infinite Tsukuyomi and free everyone from its spell.

The 479th episode of the anime series "Naruto Shippuden" saw the shinobi world gradually settle back into a semblance of normalcy. Everybody wanted to have a piece of Naruto, whose prowess and strong will gave everyone a chance at a better future.

But the newly appointed sixth Hokage, Kakashi quickly took the war hero out of the spotlight and back into the classroom to read up on the "History of Shinobi" so he could learn to become a Jonin in two years and Kakashi's successor.

Meanwhile, Sasuke received pardon from the sixth Hokage and decided to leave for a journey of atonement and self rediscovery, leaving Sakura with a heartfelt promise that she could accompany him next time.

Indeed, everything was okay again in the shinobi world, and the only stories left to tell are the ones that would gear the show's beloved characters towards their purported futures.

The forthcoming episodes of "Naruto Shippuden" will reportedly feature filler episodes focusing on two characters each week, starting with episode 480 titled "Naruto—Hinata."

The preview for next week's episode showed a younger Naruto offering the fish he caught to an old man, and Hinata at about the same age when Neji first promised her that he would protect her even at the expense of his life. Both experiences would presumably have profound effects on Naruto and Hinata's future.

Episode 481 will reportedly be about Sasuke and Sakura, while the following episode will tackle the lives of Gaara and Shikamaru.

ENSTARZ also speculated the possible appearance of Naruto and Hinata's son, Boruto, during the series finale, which could possibly lead to an anime adaptation of the 2015 movie that featured the younger Uzumaki. "Boruto: Naruto Movie" has already inspired a monthly manga series published on the "Weekly Shounen Jump."

"Naruto Shippuden" episode 480 airs on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo.
