There have been numerous reports suggesting that the American search engine, Google, is planning to launch its latest Nexus 7 iteration at the company's I/O Developers Conference, which will happen later this month. Although Google has yet to provide an official statement with regard to the said rumor, there are several indications that suggest the imminent arrival of the highly anticipated tablet.

First indication is the upcoming release of their latest operating system, the Android N software, which is said to be nearing its completion stage. According to reports, the Android N software will debut on the rumored Nexus device. Another indication is the removal of the current Nexus 9 tablet from the Google Store, which led people to believe that the current tablet model is no longer in production.

Meanwhile, there are reports suggesting that the new Nexus 7 2016 will be manufactured by Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications company, Huawei. Previous models of the lineup such as the Nexus 7 2012 and the Nexus 7 2013 versions were produced by Asus. However, there are rumors stating that Google might also decide to take care of the manufacturing duties just like what they did to the Pixel C tablet.

If rumors prove to be true, the new iteration will be a much-improved device compared to its previous models. There are speculations saying that the new model will sport a 7-inch Quad HD screen with a 2560 x 1800 pixels screen resolution. It is also said to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, along with 4 GB of RAM. However, there are reports suggesting that the upcoming device may come with Tegra X1 processor from NVIDIA. When it comes to its power, the Nexus 7 2016 will have a 3,000 mAh battery to keep the device functional.

As of the moment, there is still no official details released by the company. It is better to take these pieces of information about the Nexus 7 2016 with a grain of salt until the company announces its arrival.
