OnePlus 3 Gold release date news 2016: New variant to be released in July?

OnePlus has recently unveiled its new powerful smartphone and is now getting a lot of attention from the tech and gadget enthusiasts. Many people have been waiting for the next design of their flagship since OnePlus 2 was released last year. So far, OnePlus 3 has been well-received by the public and the tech critics have noted the smartphone's top-of-the-line features. If the present OnePlus 3 is already satisfying for the users, they should wait for the other variant of the smartphone expected to be released next month.

The third iteration of OnePlus 3 will be further improved with the anticipated arrival of the OnePlus 3 Gold variant in July. The Bitbag reported that while the released base model of OnePlus 3 last June 14 has a graphite color, the "soft gold" variant of the smartphone will be made available in the middle of July.

Graphite is the only color of OnePlus 3 as of the moment, although there are other colors that are rumored to be added in the coming months, such as Bamboo, Karbon, Black Apricot, Rosewood and Sandstone. The dark shade of graphite is quite unappealing to some users, and there is a speculation that OnePlus will be releasing the gold variant to make their flagship product even more powerful and luxurious.

OnePlus confirmed the arrival of the gold version of OnePlus 3 on Twitter as one of their followers asked when the other color variant will be released. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei himself replied to the Twitter user, saying that the soft gold version will be launched next month. However, he did not specify the exact date of release of OnePlus 3 Gold, Android Community reported.

Currently, OnePlus 3 boasts a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED screen display with 1080p resolution. Its processing is made even more powerful by the Snapdragon 820 chipset, supported by a significantly huge 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It also features 16MP main camera and an 8MP front cam. The smartphone also has a heightened security measures with fingerprint scanner and NFC support. As for the Gold variant, it is still not known if the said OnePlus 3 version will sport some improvements over the base model.
