The fourth season of science fiction drama "Orphan Black" wraps up tonight, and viewers are in for an action-packed finale as Sarah and her clones try to end Neolution once and for all.

Tonight's season 4 finale will see Sarah stop at nothing to defeat Neolution and its evil tricks, even after Rachel left her on her own. To give viewers an idea of what's to come, the official synopsis for episode 10 titled "From Dancing Mice to Psychopaths" reads:

"When communication with Cosima is cut off and Neolution appears to be within striking distance, Sarah's alliance with Rachel goes out the window. Sarah lures a high-level Neolutionist into a trap, and sets out to bring down Neolution once and for all."

Since season 4 is about to come to a close, there have been talks about a fifth season underway. Unfortunately for fans, the network has not yet announced a renewal for season 5. Series co-creator John Fawcett previously shared his future plans for the series, stating that the initial plan was to end the story after the fifth season. "The series is mapped to a large degree, in that there is always room to move and work organically, but we are working towards a five season story," said Fawcett. "We will arrive at some kind of end destination by the end of season five."

Should viewers still want to see the more new episodes after the fifth year, the exec says a spinoff will likely be on the table. "... if there are still a lot of fans and a lot of desire to see this show after that, I think there would be some reinvention necessary or some kind of new spin," he explained. "I don't know what that is or could be. I'm not really thinking about that right now, I'm just thinking about trying to get this story told in five seasons."

On the other hand, it is important to point out that Fawcett's statement dates back to April 2015. Looking forward, there might be some changes in their plans for the show, but as of the moment, the co-creator has not yet given a new statement regarding the show's fate.
