The cast and crew of "Orphan Black" made their appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, and it looks like fans are not sitting well with the implications that the show's fifth season will be its last.

Deadline reports that the crowd for the "Orphan Black" panel started making loud (but supportive) boos when it was mentioned that the show will end with season 5. News of it being the final season had come up way back during the season 4 finale. The showrunners, however, were trying to remain optimistic about the show's end and told the crowd that it's "cooler to cancel yourself than to be cancelled, or just peter out."

The show, however, may get a spinoff series, and it is possible that Tatiana Maslany (Sarah) will get a role for it. She did, in fact, get an Emmy nomination for her performance in "Orphan Black," so fans are very eager to see her return if the spinoff series will push through.

The show's panel was at Room 6BCF, and it included appearances from Maslany, Kristian Bruun (Donnie), Kevin Hanchard (Art), and Jordan Gavaris (Felix). Co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson also made an appearance. The panel, aside from announcing the end of the series, also treated the fans to the show's blooper reel as a way of saying goodbye to the show.

Maslany also perfomed an improvised skit where she played the various clones of herself in the show. This was met with a standing ovation from the audience, who also clapped for her when it was mentioned that she was nominated for an Emmy. Maslany's versatility as an actress is what was said to draw an impressive following for the show.

The fifth and final season of "Orphan Black" will premiere in April next year.
