At Gamescom, the developer released a trailer for Eichenwalde, a free hybrid map located at an abandoned village in Stuttgart, Germany. The official description of the new "Overwatch" downloadable content (DLC) map reads:

The site of one of the most famous battles during the Omnic Crisis, it was here that the leader of the Crusaders, Balderich von Adler, and a handful of his best soldiers made a last stand against an advancing automaton army. Outnumbered and outgunned, they were ultimately slain during the resulting combat. However, thanks to their valiant efforts, the German military was able to push back the omnic offensive and win the fight.

"Overwatch" players are tasked to recover the remains of Balderich inside the Eichenwalde Castle. In order to do so, they must acquire a battering ram that can be used to force their way into the fortress.

An opposing team will do their best to put a stop to these plans by making sure Balderich's men won't make their way into the Eichenwalde Castle.

Blizzard gave fans a taste of the new "Overwatch" DLC map by showing various sites of the town, all of which look nothing less than chocolate box.

As per Gamerant, the clip also showed that there will be a lot of areas to explore and visit in this first "Overwatch" DLC map.

Designers have also hinted that Eichenwalde is "very vertical" in the middle and that there's a drawbridge at the end of it that leads to the Castle.

With regards to DLC characters, it is hoped that Sombra will be made official soon. Since the game was released, the character has already been making her presence known.

Blizzard has already said that they are deliberately leaving clues about Sombra in the game for fans to discover. It is a mystery as to why she has not been officially released as an "Overwatch" DLC yet.

However, the fact that the studio is holding off hints that Sombra will be a big deal when she is officially revealed for the game.
