The recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016 has showcased several video games, gaming hardware and DLCs. There are a lot of things to look forward to following the event; however, there are many products that were expected to be revealed during the event that was not even mentioned. One of them is the highly anticipated PlayStation NEO. Many fans were certainly disappointed that Sony failed to announce the existence of the new console during E3.

Now, players are wondering if the device even exists or it is just a product of people's imagination. Nonetheless, some fans are keeping it positive hoping that the Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation will reveal the forthcoming console before the year ends.

New reports have emerged online suggesting that Andrew House, the Sony Interactive Entertainment's president and chief executive officer, has stated that the company is currently working on a project, which is said to be an upgraded version of the current PlayStation 4. House also mentioned that the PlayStation NEO will be available along with the current console, adding that both devices will be sold together in the market.

Meanwhile, there is a growing concern amongst PlayStation 4 players with regard to the release of PlayStation NEO. The current users of the console believe that the release of the upgraded device may result in fewer games being developed for the original PlayStation 4. If this happens, it will not be long for the current console to become obsolete. However, there are reports suggesting that the current users of PlayStation 4 should not worry too much as newly developed games will be compatible with both consoles.

There are also speculations saying that the upgraded console will have full 4K support. If rumors prove to be true, the upcoming PlayStation 4 will surely become revolutionary.

As of the moment, fans are still waiting for Sony to officially announce the console.
