Two months after its release, "Pokémon GO" players are still on the lookout for updates on the game, and the latest to hit headlines is not something new but a glitch that many have been complaining about.

According to reports, iOS users have been having some problems ever since the arrival of the recent update version 39.1 and 1.9. Several have reported of the app crashing especially during consecutive gym battles and consecutive evolutions.

That's not all, though, as several have players expressed in forum websites like Redditor that the game also crashes in other gameplay activities. Most of them did not have any problems in the past. Some also mentioned about "Pokémon GO" crashing even in simple tasks like transferring and powering up a Pokémon monster. There are also instances wherein there will be a lag when catching a Pokémon.

Niantic has not addressed any solutions to the issue, but one player shared that the most possible cause of the lags and glitches are the "memory leaks" from the versions 39.1 and 1.9 update. The explanation for this is that the "Pokémon GO" app takes up a large amount of the phone's RAM, which sends the app crashing.

Reports say that the best way to manage the issue is to make sure that the smartphone will not have any other apps running in the background while playing the game. It is also best to delete other apps that take up so much memory.

In other news, Niantic has released an update which reintroduces an old feature in the game. The Capture location feature has been revived. This feature was present even from the beginning but Niantic removed it due to its slow loading time, making it hard for the players to use.

As detailed by Game Rant, the Capture location will show where a Pokémon was caught. This will also be shown on its information screen. The difference of this new feature from the old, though, is that it will no longer show the actual map in the game. Instead, a text will be shown indicating which city and state the Pokémon was caught in.
