Followers of the series are particularly excited with the fact that Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) is indeed alive. "Prison Break" is expected to make a "riveting, high-tension" comeback. Its upcoming fifth season will clear the air in regards to Michael's previous brush with and apparent escape from death. It will also witness Michael's involvement in the intricate networks and dealings within terrorist groups as he will end up in a prison that is located very far away from his country.

Dominic Purcell, who gives life to the character of Michael's brother Lincoln Burrows, disclosed some interesting and curious information about "Prison Break" season 5. In an interview with Deadline, Purcell divulged that "Prison Break" reboot will be touching on a contemporary and massive concern of the world, that is the crime of terrorism.

"We're dealing with ISIS and ISA, and obviously we left off with Michael presumably dead," Purcell told the publication.

He also confirmed that his character will actually be finding Michael locked away in Yemen. It turns out that Michael was put in jail by the terrorists whom he found himself working for and later on wished to sever ties with. These terrorists threw him in prison with the intention to "change his mind" about cutting connections with them since there will come a time for Michael when "he couldn't do it anymore." As the criminal group is not able to convince him, they will resort to setting him up.

Purcell promised that "Prison Break" season 5 will be an "extraordinary show" and a "riveting, high-tension thriller" that will blow away viewers. He further observed that will be like a "crazy and cool" blend of "Bourne Identity" and "American Sniper."

"Prison Break" season 5 will premiere on Fox in 2017.
