According to the latest reports, game developer Capcom is planning to launch the upcoming "Resident Evil 7" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016.

The event, which is scheduled to happen in June at the Los Angeles Convention Center, is known to be a place to showcase new and upcoming game releases. There are speculations suggesting that the unveiling of "Resident Evil 7" will be Capcom's highlight at the event. Although the company has yet to confirm these reports, Christian Times reported that the Japanese game developer and publisher will unveil significant details of the game at E3.

There are also rumors circulating all over the internet that the company's main focus might not be on the development of the seventh installment of "Resident Evil 7." According to some fans, Capcom is currently busy promoting its "Umbrella Corps" project. There are also reports saying that they are currently working to roll out HD versions of the three previous "Resident Evil" titles. According to reports, the refreshed versions of the game will become available for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles during the second half of 2016.

Meanwhile, Slash Gear said that fans have been wondering if they will get anything from Capcom with regard to "Resident Evil 7" anytime soon. Apparently, the company has remained quiet about it. The publication added that fans may not hear anything with regard to the rumored title until March 2017.

Despite the numerous disappointing reports about the highly anticipated seventh installment of the series, fans are still positive that Capcom will give them significant information regarding the game's development and its release date. As for now, fans should take all these rumors with a grain of salt until the company decides to release an official statement.
