A couple of weeks before the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, the full specs sheet of the ruggedized version of Samsung's flagship was leaked.

As expected, the device will be a more durable version of the standard version of the Galaxy S7, with several upgrades both inside and outside.

According to the specs sheet, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active will pack a 4000 mAh battery, which is a lot bigger than the one on the original version of the flagship, which is just 3000 mAh battery.

VentureBeat reports that with the chunky battery giving it life, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active should last 15 percent longer than the 3500mAh battery pack on its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active.

According to Tech Radar, Samsung Galaxy S7 Active might last for days with such enormous battery. Due to the large size of the battery, the device will be much thicker than last year's Active.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active was only is 8.6 mm thick while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is definitely a stocky slab at 9.9 mm.

Understandably, the choice of battery in the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active also made it a bit heavier. From 170 grams, this year's iteration weighs 185 grams. The device will look much bulkier next to the Samsung Galaxy S7, which is only 7.9 mm thick and 152 grams in weight.

Comparing it to last year's Active handset, Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is definitely much more of a powerhouse. It is getting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB RAM, which is 1 GB more than the RAM on the S6 Active.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is only getting a 12-megapixel rear camera, a downgrade from S6 Active's 16-megapixel shooter. However, the former is getting a dual pixel sensor, which will still allow users to take amazing photos even in low-light conditions.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is expected to be released on June 10 on AT&T.
