Samsung Galaxy S8 release date, specs news 2016: Phone to have dual camera, 4K screen

At the moment, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are enjoying the lion's share of the Android market.

Aside from being one of the most popular phone brands out today, Samsung's Galaxy S line constantly pulls out the best that technology has to offer which often leaves consumers asking, "What else can they improve on?"

And naturally, talks about the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge are surely on the way.

There are a lot of discussions on what the upcoming phones may offer and how they will outdo the current flagship phones.

First off, people are wondering when the Galaxy 8 will be released. Research reveals that the Galaxy S line often comes out around February to May every year.

The Galaxy S launched in March 2010 and now the latest Galaxy S7 version came out in February of this year.

Hence, it is relatively safe to say that the Galaxy S8 model should be launched around that time in 2017.

Next question is what new technologies that will come along with the phone. Some things are for certain, as the new Galaxy S8 phone will still be dust- and water-resistant. It has proven to be a very popular reason why users gravitate towards Samsung and it is highly unlikely that popularily will diminish soon.

As for its cameras, the emergence of the LG G5 and the Huawei P9 having dual-cameras might compel Samsung to do the same for the Galaxy S8 when it comes out.

Even the iPhone 7 Plus is rumored to have a dual camera so expect Samsung to do the same.

Another rumored specs that people would want to see on the phone is a 4K screen, which easily beats HD-capable screens in crisp display and vivid colors.

There could be more that the Galaxy S8 may offer when it finally hits the market next year, so stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming flagship by Samsung.
