Samsung Galaxy X release date and specs rumors: New Galaxy smartphone to come out as a foldable device with OLED screen?

Following the release of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, fans have shifted their focus on the upcoming releases of the company. According to reports, the Korean tech giant could launch five new Galaxy models between 2016 and 2017. There are speculations that Samsung may finally release the highly anticipated Galaxy X next year.

According to some fans, the device will carry a flexible OLED screen, which will give the LG G Flex a run for their money. The device will be fully foldable just like the old flip-phones of the late 90s and early 2000s. What's interesting about the Samsung Galaxy X is that it will get folded in the middle of the touch display without compromising the image quality of the smartphone. This device is said to be one of the five Galaxy smartphones to be released by Samsung anytime soon.

There have been reports that Samsung will push on releasing several devices including the Galaxy X after the successful release of the current Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Meanwhile, Know Your Mobile reported that during the SID 2016 expo in San Francisco, California, Samsung showed during their exhibit a flexible device with a Super AMOLED display. According to tech observers, the smartphone looked like it is almost ready to be released in the market. Although it was not shown during the demo, there are some fans saying that the device may come with a full 4K video support.

For now, Samsung has yet to officially announce the upcoming Galaxy X. However, many fans believe that it is only a matter of time before the company provides significant details with regard to its development and release date.
