'Shadow Warrior 2' PC release date news: Launch announced; new trailer video out

"Shadow Warrior 2" is all set to be released for the PC a few weeks from now. And to bring the hype up, publisher Devolver Digital and developer Flying Wild Hog dropped a new trailer announcing the exact release date of the game.

As detailed in a report, the first-person shooter video game will be released on Oct. 13 for PC gamers. Unfortunately, console users will have to wait until early next year to get the game. There is no specific release date for the console release yet, so fans will have to stay tuned to find out when it will be coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

The game will be made available via Steam, GOG, and Humble with a price tag of $40. But for those who will pre-order, they will get a ten percent discount off the original price. Aside from that, they will also receive the exclusive Razorback chainsaw katana.

It's also noted that there's a deluxe edition which is priced at $50. Contained in the bundle are the soundtrack, the "Art of Shadow Warrior 2" digital book and a pack of three gold skins which include the gold ninja skin, gold katana, and gold MP7.

Good news also waits for those who own Flying Wild Hog's previous games "Shadow Warrior" and/or "Hard Reset Redux." They will be getting another 10 percent off upon purchase of the new title.

For those who are not in the loop yet, "Shadow Warrior 2" is deemed as the expanded sequel to the 2013 remake. It will feature four-player co-op and more open levels. It will also continue to tell the story of protagonist Lo Wang.

Gamers can expect this installment to be much bigger compared to the first one. There will be new weapons, new armors as well as upgrades. And by just looking at the trailer, the game is going to be packed with high-energy, colorful shooting action mixed with humor.
