Talks are rife that TLC is not too interested in renewing the reality TV show "Sister Wives" for an eighth season. According to speculations, it's Kody Brown's decision to take on two more wives that had the network thinking twice about an offer.

The reality TV show follows the life of polygamous Kody Brown and his four wives, Janelle, Meri, Robyn, and Christine. It was an unusual setup that intrigued viewers and fueled the show for seven seasons. However, there are rumors that the sister wives are getting fed up with Kody's antics, which is why even the women are not keen on returning for an eighth season.

Should TLC cancel "Sister Wives" season 8, there are reports that a spinoff might be given the green light, although Kody will no longer be part of it. Apparently, TLC is more interested in creating a new storyline for Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn than include Kody in it.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that Meri, who was involved in a catfishing scandal in the past season of "Sister Wives," is now keen on finalizing her divorce from Kody since she is currently seeing a new man. The man is reportedly from Hawaii, where, incidentally, the whole family spent their last vacation.

According to Hollywood Life, Meri is fed up with all the drama surrounding her, Kody, and the other wives. The report goes on to say that Meri's recent frequent trips helped her plan her actions, and now, the other wives are feeling the same way. It seems the sister wives now feel emotionally detached from Kody, which is why they are ready to leave him.

Kody is legally married to Meri; they have been together for 25 years. He's been with Janelle for 22 years, 21 years with Christine, and five years with Robyn. The uncommon union has produced 18 children.

TLC is yet to make a formal announcement concerning the fate of "Sister Wives" season 8. In the meantime, keep coming back for more news and updates about it.
