'Snake pastor' demonstrates 'God's power' by driving car over church members

A pastor from South Africa decided to show a demonstration of God's power by telling church members to sleep before driving a car over their bodies.

This is not the first time Pastor Penuel Mnguni of the End Times Disciples Ministries got caught in a controversy for doing something out of the ordinary. Last year, he tested the faith of the congregation by feeding them snakes and rats, according to Christian Post.

On June 3, Mnguni demonstrated the "power of God" in a conference by "commanding" two church members to sleep on the floor. He then proceeded to drive a car over them.

While the car was on top of their bodies, he commanded them to wake up and asked them if they felt anything.

"We do not feel anything," the two men replied, according to a post on the church's Facebook page.

After Mnguni reversed the car, the two men stood up in "amazement" and "began to dance and praise God together with the rest of the congregants."

"The man of God Prophet Penuel demonstrated the power of God by running over two members of the congregants," the post read.

The post included photos showing the pastor driving a blue car and letting it run across the backs of the two sleeping church members while other people watched.

"We have died and we have risen with Christ from the dead and therefore our standard is not of this world combining all pains and feelings," the post said. "We cannot speak of a Powerful God yet not seeing His Power."

Mnguni's controversial feat came less than three months since he was asked to explain the things being done at his church by the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities, according to The Citizen.

He once performed a "miracle" and allegedly made people speak Chinese and Nigerian while they displayed snake-like behavior.

At another time, he turned church members into sheep and they began to bleat. And he also reportedly turned a church member into a horse and climbed on top of him, according to the church's Facebook page.
