"Street Fighter 5" is getting an arcade mode.

Event Hubs reports that the announcement was made just after the tournament festivities ended at this year's Toushinsai. The large-scale arcade tournament was on its second year and was held over the weekend in Tokyo, Japan.

Tournaments for both "Ultra Street Fighter 4" and "King of Fighters 13" were reportedly held at the two-day event. Event Hubs notes that while the two titles seemed out of place, given that new versions of both were released this year, the developers were there to make the announcement that by 2017, both of the new games will be coming to arcades.

According to the video game developers, while "King of Fighters 14" will be given a full arcade mode for the NESICAxLIVE 2 system, "Street Fighter 5" will be made available for arcades in a rather unconventional way.

The game, which is currently available for PS4, Linux, and PC, will reportedly have PC stations situated in arcades. Arcade players can then play against each other using the PC version of the fighting video game.

The gaming outlet notes that this move will have a significant impact on the Japanese arcade community. It is currently unclear if the "Street Fighter 5" arcade mode will only be available in Japan or will eventually be rolled out to other countries as well.

Rumors about the "Street Fighter 5" arcade mode first emerged earlier this month, after gamers reportedly mined game files pertaining to such. The fighting game's arcade mode was said to allow players to battle without having to follow the "Street Fighter 5" storyline.

Meanwhile, "Street Fighter 5" players can still purchase the Halloween-themed downloadable content (DLC) until Nov. 29. This DLC, which was made available on Oct. 11, gives seven new "spook-tacular" Premium Halloween costumes for Ryu, Vega, Charlie, Cammy, Juri, Alex and Necali. Each costume costs $3.99 and can be purchased from the PlayStation Store and Steam.
