While DC fans have been aware for some time now that the new Batman, played by "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star Ben Affleck, is set to appear in the upcoming anti-hero ensemble "Suicide Squad," details have been scarce as to what the Caped Crusader's role is in the film.

While the trailers for "Suicide Squad" do show Batman appearing in the film, fans are still clueless as to how the Dark Knight plays into the Squad's story, how he knows the gang of misfits, and who he interacts with in the film. Though practically everyone knows that the Joker (Jared Leto) is his mortal enemy, it is still largely unknown whether the iconic superhero will be working with the team in bringing down the Joker and the film's other villains or if he has his own agenda.

Yet, new details have surfaced recently about Batman's role in "Suicide Squad." A report from Batman News claims that the Dark Knight will not be interacting with the entire Task Force X. Instead, he is said to have a few "emotional" moments with select members of the Squad, including Deadshot, played by Will Smith, and Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie.

According to the website, Batman will have several scenes with Deadshot, one that is said to be "emotional" and one that is in the form of a flashback.

There is also a car scene featuring Batman, Harley Quinn, and the Joker that fans have already glimpsed in the trailers. While there supposedly won't be much interaction between the superhero and the Joker in this scene, the publication noted that the scene will focus on Batman and Harley.

Apparently, Joker's vehicle will plunge underwater and, as viewers have seen in the trailer, Batman will rescue Harley, pulling her out of the water.

Apart from Smith, Robbie, Leto and Affleck, "Suicide Squad" also stars Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Viola Davis, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Scott Eastwood, Ike Barinholtz, and Cara Delevingne.

"Suicide Squad" hits theaters on Aug. 5.
