'Suits' season 6 spoilers, plot rumors: Harvey to fix mess from last season; What's next for Mike and Rachel?

Fans would be pleased to know that "Suits" season 6 now has an official air date. They would soon find out what will happen to the Pearson Specter Litt law firm after everything that happened in season 5.

It appears that a recent promotional clip for "Suits" season 6 showed Harvey (Gabriel Macht) speaking to someone and saying, "We all know I got us into this mess. It's time I got us out of it." Those are big words coming from the incorrigible lawyer. On the other hand, fans know "mess" is an understatement considering everything that blew over in the fifth season's finale episode.

Obviously, the "mess" had a lot to do with Harvey's knowledge that Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) faked his credentials in order to get into the prestigious law firm. Mike's secret got out, and he surrendered for a two-year prison service. This controversy turned the acclaimed law firm into a virtual ghost town.

According to Parent Herald, whatever Harvey meant with "mess" would definitely be one of the major arcs in the upcoming season. What's certain is that nothing would change between Harvey and Mike – their friendship remains intact even if Mike has to serve time. On the other hand, Harvey would try to revive the firm with the help of Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman).

Showrunner Aaron Korsh told The Hollywood Reporter that there will be no time jump between season 5's finale and season 6's premiere. "We're coming back right where we left off," he said.

As for Mike and Rachel Zane's (Meghan Markle) fate, it appears they would remain separated in the upcoming season. Mike chose to walk out on their wedding and surrender himself to the authorities in the season 5 finale, and apparently, season 6 would focus individually on Mike and Rachel as they try to go on with their lives.

In an interview with E! Online, Adams said the separation is just what the doctor ordered for Rachel. He said that while Mike and Rachel would miss each other, it's time for her to focus on herself and her issues.

"... For Rachel, it's a great season because she's separated from Mike. Her story is not about how she can service Mike or take care of Mike or keep Mike's secret or be mad at Mike," he said.

"Suits" season 6 will premiere on July 13 on USA.
